‘Godzilla: Resurgence’ And Live-Action ‘Attack On Titan’ To Invade America

Funimation made two colossal announcements at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. They plan on bringing two giants to the American shores. The company will be releasing both the Live-Action Attack on Titan films and the new Godzilla film in America.

After the release of Legendary studios release of Godzilla in 2014, the King of the Monsters original studio, Toho decided they could do better. They went into production of their own film titled Shin Godzilla (literally “New Godzilla”) and it had already received an American title of Godzilla: Resurgence. Yet despite receiving a name for the specific audience no actual American release date been confirmed. Now through their San Diego Comic-Con panel, Twitter account, and homepage, Anime distribution company Funimation has revealed they will be in charge of Godzilla’s journey to America. No release date has been confirmed yet but the studio hopes it will be sometime this year.

The company also announced they had plans to release the Live-Action Attack on Titan films in physical media forms. They had previously released the films in theaters on a limited run in 2015 but there was no mention of the films being available for fans to add them to their media libraries. Now, both films will released in Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD formats with Attack on Titan: The Movie: Part One already having a release date of October 6th, 2016. Part Two has not received a release date but they probably won’t have to wait long.
