The long-running courtroom simulator/visual novel series; Ace Attorney (Gyakuten Saiban) is finally getting its own anime series. During a special presentation for the tentatively titled Ace Attorney 6 at Tokyo Game Show, developer Capcom announced that an anime series will begin airing in April. Series regulars Phoenix Wright, Maya Fay and Miles Edgeworth are all set to appear, but other than that little else is known about the series. This will mark the first time the series has gotten an anime adaptation despite having received a live-action movie directed by Takashi Miike in 2012. It has also been the subject of numerous manga series. While the series began life on the Gameboy Advance in 2001, it gained mainstream popularity in the West following its debut on the Nintendo DS in 2005.
The series will premiere in Japan on April 2016.
