Emmy

The nominations for the 69th Emmy awards were announced Thursday, July 13th. Unfortunately, they didn’t quite line up with our dream nominations. In fact, several phenomenal shows went completely overlooked. Many of the shows nominated are definitely deserving of love. However, many top comedies and dramas have been utterly snubbed. This list covers six such TV shows that deserve far more love than the Emmys are giving them.

6. The Americans

The Americans

The Americans isn’t just an intense spy drama. The FX series is perhaps one of the strongest and most consistent dramas on television. The show is still going strong, even after five seasons. The show feels especially timely for this year, considering the Russian-U.S. political controversies. The Americans has gone overlooked completely, except for one nomination last year. The fact it’s excluded from the category once again is insane.

Jon Barr is a comedian and TV Phanatic. Yeah, he meant to spell it that way. It's like the Philly Phanatic, like from Philadelphia, because he's from - you get it. He loves good TV & mocking bad TV. You can find him all over the web.

BoJack was probably the best show I watched in the past year. Could have easily gotten noms for Comedy, Animated Series, Writing, and Directing.
